The Pyrox Xplore is a long-run shoe designed to cover many kilometers while crossing valleys or traversing mountains on technical terrain. It is equipped with Impulso4D, an innovative, patent-pending midsole trail running technology developed by Tecnica to adapt the shoe to your unique running style. The shoe is also equipped with supercritical EVA and TPEE foams, an Ortholite® footbed, and a SuperTrail design outsole.

FOUR DIMENSION ADAPTABILITY

Tecnica's R&D team considered the full spectrum of the forces developed in the midsole during a run and how the forces change over time during the footstep. The result is Impulso4D, a midsole that warps to dump and release those forces, adapting to your kinematics, ensuring smooth running flow, forgiving cushioning, and adaptability to various terrains.

LONG RUN COMFORT

The heel material of the dual-component midsole of the Pyrox Xplore is soft, long-lasting supercritical EVA foam, which offers 20% more shock absorption during downhills and when the legs get tired compared to standard EVA. Under the forefoot, the front part is made of denser supercritical TPEE for enhanced reactivity and a more direct contact with the ground when you want to push hard.

ANATOMICAL TRAIL RUNNING FIT

The Pyrox has been designed around activity and gender-specific anatomical lasts to match the ergonomic and biometric needs of trail runners. Thanks to the AST technology, the shoe fits like a glove around the foot, while the forefoot and heel retention offer superior support, enabling high performance on the most technical terrain.

Additional Technologies & Features

UPPER WITH LINING SOCK CONSTRUCTION: The breathable lining with sock-like construction is integrated with the upper to provide a snug, wrap-around effect.
SUPERTRAIL OUTSOLE DESIGN: The outsole, with 4.5 mm lugs and high-performance Tecnigrip compound, features a SuperTrail design that provides a secure and comfortable grip even on the most technical terrains, such as single tracks and off-road trails.
SEAMLESS PROTECTION (XPLORE): The breathable engineered mesh upper is reinforced with integrated TPE filaments and laminated film only where needed, without adding unnecessary weight, for lightweight protection and increased abrasion resistance.
BACKLOOP: The little loop helps the wearer to slide the foot in and out of the shoes effortlessly and can be used to hang them on your backpack or to the climbing harness.
ORTHOLITE® FOOTBED: The anatomically-shaped Ortholite® footbed is highly breathable and provides superior comfort and long-lasting performance.
MICROFIBER COMFORTABLE TONGUE: The microfiber tongue offers superior comfort and stays in place during running.
