At Tecnica, we have always made shoe fit a top priority. To design and produce footwear with a unique anatomical shape that delivers a superior comfort fit, with great heel and forefoot retention, we developed AST – Adaptive Shape Technology.
Advanced Shape Technology is based on three pillars. Using anatomical lasts to match the ergonomic and biometric needs of mountaineers. Fine-tuning the perfect width for each mountain activity. Offering specific-gender dedicated designs and technical features.
This unique technology also benefits from innovations such as adaptive memory foams, pre-shaped thermoplastic inserts, cushioning and breathable foams, and copolymer foam inserts to maintain our promise of comfort and performance.

Tecnica's shoe design process starts from a realistic anatomical last rather than the simplified traditional one commonly used by the footwear industry.
