The Spark is a forgiving and protective low-cut fast hiking shoe, with a superior soft landing. Specifically designed around an anatomical last to provide a comfortable fit, the Spark S GTX features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso midsole technology with a full-length Pebax® foam. Equipped with premium technologies by Ortholite®, Gore-Tex® and Vibram®.
Technologies
Specific fast hiking comfortable fit
The Spark has been designed around an activity-specific anatomical last to match the ergonomic and biometric needs of fast hikers. The shoe fits like a glove around the foot, and its excellent forefoot and heel retention provides solid support for high performance in the most technical terrain. In addition, the comfortable and breathable Ortholite footbed keep the foot cooler and drier.
Reactive cushioning
The midsole unit features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso technology that combines the benefits of a high-rebound EVA and a full-length Pebax® foam plate, delivering superior cushioning, explosive energy return and long-lasting elasticity. As a result, the Spark allows a comfortable and forgiving fast hiking experience on the most technical terrain.
Stable foot support
The Pebax® foam plate of the Impulso technology sits in an oversized EVA midsole geometry, providing a lightweight, durable platform that cradles the foot. This construction increases the shoe’s lateral stability when moving fast downhill or on uneven terrain. In addition, the midfoot Support Band acts as a supportive link between upper and midsole, enhancing stability and power transfer.
Additional technologies & features
Upper TPU film
The upper is protected by layers of TPU film laminated to the polyamide mesh for additional durability at critical areas, such as the heel, toe cap, and medial and lateral zones.
EVA Exoshell Cage
Foot and midsole protection from rocks and scree is provided by the durable external EVA Exoshell Cage.
Backloop
The little loop helps the wearer to slide the foot in and out of the shoes effortlessly and can be used to hang them on your backpack or to the climbing harness.
Ortholite® footbed
The anatomically-shaped Ortholite® footbed is highly breathable and provides superior comfort and long-lasting performance.
Vibram® Megagrip™ Outsole
The Vibram® Megagrip outsole is made of a high-performance compound that offers unparalleled grip on dry and wet terrain. This compound is also best in its class for durability and ground adaptation.
